I am a triathlete myself and have been competing in Triathlons now since 2001. In 2008 I won gold at the European Championships in Gerardmer in France. In 2011, I was the second lady to finish and age group winner of the Outlaw full distance.
Sadly after that I had foot and spinal surgery which rendered me out of the sport but I came back to 2015 and came 3rd at Ironman Staffs 70.3 and managed my first full Ironman since surgery in 2016 at Ironman UK, I came 5th. In 2017 I decided my back was holding up and competed in 3 Ironman branded races and was lucky enough to podium in all three, coming third in both Staffs 70.3 Ironman and Weymouth 70.3 Ironman and then winning my age group at Ironman UK in Bolton.
I ended up buying my race kit from America for that season because I couldn’t find any colourful kit and my Dad commented that all the athletes looked the same!
This is what started me thinking about a new apparel brand.
I wanted some kit that added a bit of glitz to the gritty athletes competing! I believe that we need something a bit different, and VicTri was born. I am very proud to be British and we have thousands of athletes that are craving something that makes them stand out! It is my goal to bring more colour and vibrancy to the sport we love.
